1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Kocat Studio (“we”, “us”) concerning the CheckPick mobile application and related features (the “Service”).
By downloading, accessing, or using CheckPick, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. What CheckPick is — and isn’t
CheckPick provides a step-by-step checklist, vehicle-specific information, example photos, and related tools intended to help users examine a used vehicle before making a purchase decision.
CheckPick is an informational guide only.
It is not:
- A professional vehicle inspection
- A certified mechanical inspection
- A safety certification
- A vehicle-history service
- A warranty or guarantee concerning vehicle condition
- A substitute for a qualified mechanic’s pre-purchase inspection
CheckPick does not guarantee a vehicle’s condition, safety, history, reliability, value, or suitability for purchase.
Vehicle defects may exist that CheckPick does not identify.
You remain responsible for your own inspection, purchase, and driving decisions.
We recommend obtaining an independent pre-purchase inspection from a qualified mechanic and separately checking the vehicle’s history, title information, and open recalls before purchasing a vehicle.
3. Accounts and sign-in
You can use CheckPick without creating an account.
Optional sign-in may be available through:
- Apple on supported Apple platforms
When you use a third-party sign-in provider, that provider’s own terms and privacy policies also apply.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device.
Disconnecting CheckPick through your Google or Apple account settings is not necessarily the same as deleting your CheckPick account.
To delete your CheckPick account, use:
Settings › Account › Delete account & data

4. Your responsibilities
You agree not to:
- Use another person’s account without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Attempt to bypass payment or entitlement systems
- Fraudulently obtain paid features or refunds
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, or commercially exploit the app or its proprietary content except where applicable law expressly permits it
- Violate another person’s rights
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
When inspecting a vehicle, you are responsible for doing so safely and with the owner’s or seller’s permission.
Do not perform an inspection in a way that places you or another person in danger.
For example, do not go underneath a vehicle unless it is properly supported using appropriate equipment and procedures.
5. Paid features
CheckPick may offer the following paid products.
Single Inspection
Allows you to complete, save, and export one eligible inspection.
Once the inspection credit has been used, it cannot be reused.
A Single Inspection does not remove advertisements.
30-Day Car Hunting Pass
Provides access to eligible paid features, including unlimited saving, comparison, and PDF export, and removes advertisements for 30 days from purchase.
The 30-Day Car Hunting Pass is a one-time purchase.
It is not a subscription and does not automatically renew or charge you again after the 30-day period ends.
Lifetime Pass
Provides eligible paid features and removes advertisements without a fixed expiration date for as long as CheckPick continues to provide the applicable Service.
A Lifetime Pass does not guarantee that CheckPick, any particular platform, or every current feature will remain available indefinitely.
Free inspection and rewarded advertising
Your first eligible full inspection may be provided free of charge.
CheckPick may also allow you to earn a Single Inspection by completing a rewarded advertisement, subject to limits shown in the app.
We may introduce, remove, or change paid features in the future.
If a new paid feature is not included in an existing product or pass, this will be disclosed when that feature is offered.
6. Prices, payment, and refunds
Prices are displayed in the app before you confirm a purchase.
Prices may vary by:
- Country or region
- Currency
- Store
- Taxes
- Exchange rates
- Store pricing rules
Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Kocat Studio does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card information.
Purchases are also subject to the applicable store’s terms and payment policies.
Refund requests are generally handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play according to the applicable store’s refund policies.

Deleting your CheckPick account does not automatically cancel, reverse, or refund a purchase.
If a store refunds, revokes, or reverses a purchase, the related CheckPick entitlement, pass, or inspection credit may also be removed.
7. Restoring purchases
Where supported, an active 30-Day Car Hunting Pass and a Lifetime Pass may be restored using “Restore purchases” while using the same Apple App Store or Google Play account that originally completed the purchase.
A Single Inspection that has already been consumed cannot be restored for reuse.
Availability of purchase restoration may depend on the applicable store and platform.
8. Advertisements
The free version of CheckPick may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Advertising formats may include:
- Banner advertisements
- Full-screen advertisements
- Rewarded advertisements
An advertisement may appear after completion of an inspection or at other locations disclosed in the app.
Advertisements are removed while an eligible 30-Day Car Hunting Pass is active and for users with an eligible Lifetime Pass.
Advertising privacy settings and personalization may depend on:
- Your device
- Operating system
- Location
- Privacy choices
- Applicable law
- Google AdMob settings
Products and services shown in advertisements are provided by the relevant advertiser and are subject to that advertiser’s own terms and policies.
Kocat Studio is not the seller of products or services advertised by third parties.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use CheckPick.
Your inspection answers, photos, notes, and other inspection content are designed to remain on your device rather than being uploaded to Kocat Studio servers.
Exported PDFs are saved to your device’s Documents folder, and copies you share or save elsewhere are managed by you.
Deleting your CheckPick account does not automatically delete PDFs you previously exported.

10. Deleting your account
You may delete your CheckPick account at any time.
In the app:
Settings › Account › Delete account & data
You may also contact contact@kocatstudio.com.
Deleted CheckPick accounts generally cannot be restored.
Account deletion does not automatically delete transaction records retained by Apple, Google, or other service providers where those providers are required or permitted to retain them.
Account deletion also does not automatically refund purchases.

11. Changes to the Service
We may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, or remove parts of the Service.
Reasons may include:
- Product improvements
- Security
- Legal or policy requirements
- Technical changes
- Third-party platform changes
- Business or operational reasons
Where reasonably possible and legally required, we will provide notice of material changes.
We do not guarantee that every current feature, vehicle entry, checklist item, data source, platform, or paid feature will remain available permanently.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If a change is material, we will provide notice through the app, our website, or another appropriate method where reasonably required.
The effective date at the top of this page indicates the version currently in effect.
Continuing to use the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
13. Intellectual property
CheckPick, including its software, interface, checklists, text, graphics, original photos, databases, and other proprietary content, is owned by Kocat Studio or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use CheckPick for your own lawful, non-commercial purposes.
Vehicle manufacturer names, model names, trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners.
Their use in CheckPick is solely for vehicle identification, reference, compatibility, and informational purposes.
CheckPick is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer unless expressly stated otherwise.
14. Vehicle information
Model-specific information in CheckPick may summarize publicly available information, including:
- NHTSA recall information
- Consumer complaints
- Other publicly available vehicle information
Such information may:
- Be incomplete
- Change over time
- Apply only to certain vehicles, production dates, configurations, or VINs
- Not apply to the specific vehicle you are inspecting
The existence of a recall campaign associated with a model or generation does not necessarily mean that a particular vehicle has an open or unrepaired recall.
Recall status should be checked using the specific VIN through an appropriate official source, such as:
https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls
Example photographs are provided for reference only.
The appearance, location, severity, or characteristics of a condition may differ from the vehicle you inspect.
15. Inspection scores and comparisons
Scores, summaries, comparison results, recommendations, and similar outputs generated by CheckPick are informational aids based on the information entered or recorded during the inspection.
A higher score does not mean that a vehicle is safe, mechanically sound, free from defects, or suitable for purchase.
A comparison between vehicles does not constitute a professional recommendation or guarantee that one vehicle is safer, better, or more reliable than another.
Items marked as unable to be checked should not be assumed to be in satisfactory condition.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KOCAT STUDIO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- CHECKPICK WILL IDENTIFY EVERY VEHICLE DEFECT
- ALL VEHICLE INFORMATION WILL BE COMPLETE OR ERROR-FREE
- THE SERVICE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE OR UNINTERRUPTED
- A VEHICLE THAT RECEIVES A HIGH SCORE IS SAFE OR FREE FROM DEFECTS
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THESE DISCLAIMERS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
17. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KOCAT STUDIO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE.
THIS INCLUDES, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOSSES ARISING FROM:
- A VEHICLE PURCHASE OR SALE
- AN INSPECTION DECISION
- UNDISCOVERED VEHICLE DEFECTS
- RELIANCE ON CHECKLISTS, SCORES, EXAMPLE PHOTOS, OR VEHICLE INFORMATION
- LOSS OF LOCALLY STORED DATA
- INTERRUPTION OR UNAVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICE
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO KOCAT STUDIO FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
SOME STATES OR JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
18. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded CheckPick through the Apple App Store:
These Terms are between you and Kocat Studio, not Apple.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for CheckPick.
If CheckPick fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, for the app as required under Apple’s applicable terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation concerning CheckPick.
Apple is not responsible for claims relating to CheckPick, including claims involving:
- Product liability
- Legal or regulatory compliance
- Consumer protection
- Intellectual-property infringement
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary where applicable.
You represent that you are not located in a country or region subject to a U.S. Government embargo and that you are not listed on a U.S. Government restricted-party list to the extent required by Apple’s applicable terms.
Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement may also apply where these Terms do not address a matter.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent mandatory consumer-protection laws in the place where you live provide rights that cannot legally be waived or limited.
Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under applicable law.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
